If this is the case, a natural disaster such as a tornado or a hurricane can render one’s ability to make a mobile call impossible for months. This is a common occurrence when credit companies see a credit card being used overseas with no prior notification. As such, travelers should always forewarn their credit companies of their intentions on traveling abroad. This keeps their credit cards able, and their funds readily accessible.
